MENTAL HEALTH
Mental
health is characterized by absence of
mental illness, some of its effects on your thinking , feelings , and actions
are being comfortable of yourself and positive feelings about others. Mental
health problem is a negative emotion which influences thinking ,behavior, and mood.
These Factors Lead to mental Health:
I- Organic or Biological Factor (Brain Chemistry):
Organic or Biological factors
consist of anything physical that can cause adverse effects on a person's
mental health. Each individual’s own genetic make-up can contribute to being at
risk of developing a mental illness. This includes genetics, prenatal damage,
infections, exposure to toxins, brain defects or injuries, chemical imbalances,
and substance abuse (such as alcohol or drugs) and deficiencies of certain
vitamins and minerals in an individual’s diet can also play a part.
II- Environmental Factor (Trauma or Abuse):
Environmental causes are more psychologically based thus making them
more closely related. Where someone lives and their living conditions along
with family and community support networks can play a part along with
employment status and work stresses. Environmental factors include but are not
limited a dysfunctional home life, poor relationships with others, substance
abuse, not meeting social expectations, low self-esteem and poverty.
III- Heredity Factor (Family History Related Mental Health Illness):
There is evidence to suggest that heredity can play some part in the
development of some forms of mental illness. The reliable identification of
specific genetic susceptibility to particular disorders, through linkage or association
studies, has proven difficult. As with physical health conditions, the other
factors will play a significant part too.
